Witchey Woman

I'm really excited to share with you a project that my cousin, Teri, and I collaborated on for a fun and entertaining Halloween project.

I made this card using the witch cut from Teresa Collins Chic n Scary cartridge.  It's a black card with the printed background paper from Recollections "Elegance" set.

The witch is cut at 3 inches

I used black background and covered it with vellum to set up the sentiment.  I actually printed this sentiment on the vellum using my printer.  Cool huh.   Then I added black jewels for a little "witchey BLING"

For the inside statement, I stamped Have a Spooktacular Halloween.  I thought the broom and witches shoes fit perfectly with this themed card for Halloween.

NOW, for the super fun collaboration....I made templates of the witchey woman at 10 inches, and smaller ones at 3 inches.  I also made cupcake pics using MCT scallop & stitched circle dies. Then used cuts from the Chic n Scary cartridge to add to the cupcake pics.  Remember the spider cupcake wrapper click HERE for that post.  Well, Teri, ended up using them as garland around the cake stacks.  You can see them in between.

The cake topper is made from the stencil I sent her (she's in California, I'm in Arizona, so we spend a lot of time on Skype dreaming up these ideas LOL  it's so much fun)
Cake Topper - made from Gum Paste - This turned out so cool....she put a few wires through the bottom of her legs to help her stand up right on the cake.  Can you believe how good it looks up there as the center piece. :-)

Then she air brushed some of the smaller stencils to see how they looked and then used some of her glitter dust on the other stencils. For a trial run using the stencils I made and collaborating on this I think this cake turned out great and I just love how the cupcakes look with the cake pics in them.  To see more of Teri's cake designs go to her website Cake Play Ground or click HERE

I can't wait to make more cake pics...Hmmm, maybe for an upcoming bday for the office gal.

That's my post for today...I hope you enjoyed my post today.  We're hoping to do more collaborating soon.
