Thank You - MCT Designer Challenge

Hello my friends,
I've missed the last two MCT Designer challenges and I was soooo bummed because the last two were so much fun to get in on, but other things in life took priority....so this time when I saw Miss Kim's Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for MCT, I just couldn't miss entering this challenge and made the time.
Here are the details:
All you have to do is pick a row from the chart below (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) and incorporate those three items on your project! You are free to use anything in addition, just be sure the three items in the row you chose is included!
Just like all my crafting situations....so many crafts, so little time. So when I saw this, I wanted to do every which way LOL does anyone else have that problem ???  So after contemplating, which seemed like hours, I finally chose to do the top row...Use A Die, Embossing Of Any Type, and Bling.

For my 4.25 x 5.5 card I used both dry and heat embossing.  The dry embossing is the Swirls folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug. The heat embossing I used colored ink and then used clear 'detail' embossing powder from Recollections (this is great stuff)

The butterfly die and the stitched plate are from the MCT Chunky Jar Accessories die & stamp set.  For my bling I used a half pearl...I tried something more blinging but it just wasn't 'soft' enough for this card, so I went with the pearl for my bling...does that count as bling???
The whismical butterfly paper is from an old pack from K&C Company, I think...I don't even have the top cover to tell you which stack it came from.
The Thanks stamp is also from the MCT Chunky Jar Accessories die & stamp set, again with heat embossing.

There's still time to enter your project, click HERE to enter.   Have a crafty day, see you again soon my friends. --C

PKS Sketch Challenge 13-12 // Easter Bunny

Hello my friends,
It's been a few weeks since I've posted.  My, my, how time flies.  I'm going to try to get back into the groove of entering my favorite challenges, I do miss them.

With that said, I'm entering this card into this weeks Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge::13-12

I used the bunny suit from the PKSC March 2013 set  I cut off the tulip flower in her left hand.  I added some stardust Stickles to the suit, and a little yellow shadowing to the ears.  Her face is also from the same set.  Of course, had to use glossy accents for the eyes.  The flower is from MCT Stitched Flower Dies.

That's it for today, short 'n sweet...better than nothing at all, right!  Have a craft day!

Happy Birthday

It's time for another Peachy Keen Challenge.  This week it's about the photo/color inspiration.  Here are the details for this challenge:

THE CHALLENGE
Create a project of your choice using the photo above as inspiration.

Ok, I know, how did I get a horse inspired from the picture above...I have no idea, but the colors were right. LOL
The horse is cut from the Create A Critter cartridge, and the scallop oval was cut from the Cricut Craft Room Basics.  I use the CCR to 'hide' the eyes so that I could use the eyes from the Critter Faces Stamp Set (A Medium)  I acutally had to stamp each eye separately so that they were a little closer together.
The sentiment, Happy Birthday, curly Q's is from the January 2013 SOTM set.
The hemp twine was from the box of goodies I won over at MCT in December, Miss Emma got this super fun hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft.  Then I had to add a little light green bling since this birthday card is going to a cowgirl I know.
You can still enter your photo inspiration project, click HERE for all the details and to enter.
That's it for today, I hope you have a crafty day! --C

Happy Belated Birthday

Today's card is being entered into the Peachy Keen Connection release party challenge #1 Use Embossing.  You can use dry or heat embossing, I chose to use dry embossing for this card.

This card is measured 5x7  For the embossing, I used large dots and ran it through the Cuttle Bug. The strip of pink I ran through a crimper from Fiskars. (my newest toy)

The candles are from the January 2013 SOTM set.  I paper pieced each candle for a different look. The paper used is Lilac Ave from Kaiser Craft.

The faces are from the PKS Sweet and Silly Face Assortment, I just love these little faces, they crack me up. I used chalk for the cheeks and the top of the flame.  On the one face with the eyes wide open,  I used white gelly roll pen, then topped it off with glossy accents.

The sentiment, Happy Belated Birthday, is also from the Jan 2013 SOTM set, I was on vacation so I totally missed her birthday.  The inside sentiment is "Hope It Was A Flamin' Good Time!" And knowing her, it WAS!

Check out the PKS Connection challenge #1 HERE
That's it for today, stay tuned for an entry into PKS Connection challenge #2, coming soon! --C

You Are My Shining Star

It seems like forever since my last post....time away on vacation.  Took some great pictures, I'm hoping to put a few of them to use in shadow boxes. Stay tuned for that.

Today, I'm sharing a card for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 13-9::Just Cards::Oh My Stars!
Create a card using stars in some way. Other than that, you have total creative control, but it DOES have to be a card to participate in this "JUST CARDS" Challenge.

My entry is a long 8x4 inch card on white card stock, black n white layered back ground. The stars are from the SOTM February 2013 set stamped on polka dotted paper from BoBunny.

The faces are from the SOTM Feb 2013 and PK-182 Sweet and Silly Face Assortment.  I colored in the eyes with white gelly roll pen.

My Shining Star is center stage, well not quite center, but you get the idea. I pop dotted it for dimension, added some glitter glue to the edges, and glossy accents to the eyes. I really wanted this one to stand out, because the recipient IS my shining star!

Last, my sentiment is also from the SOTM Feb 2013 set. This is such a great set and very versatile.

That's it for today. There's still a little time to get your CARD into the PKS challenge. Click HERE for more info and to enter.

Have a crafty day! --C
