This is what I've been working on over the weekend.
My entry for MCT Designer's Challenge This week's Designer is Miss Ruthie
Ruthie chose for her challenge to make a large tag with the measurements of 4 x6 or greater.
For my large tag, I chose a 6x6 size.
I cut a piece of card board 6x6 then put a few layers of card stock for color and dimension, then layered the patterned paper. I also use some sheer ribbon for the edges.
Sorry this picture is blurry, the acorns are cut from Doodlecharms and I used the background stamps from MCT Latte Set, these are the small backgrounds that come with the set, and stamped the tops of the acorns with brown ink.
The letters for Thankful are cut from the Jasmine cartridge and I welded them together in the Cricut Craft Room. I used kraft brown card stock and 'stitched' with white jelly roll pen around the lettering. And then I pop dotted the heck out it so it would stand out.
Now what would a tag saying I'm Thankful be if I don't say what I'm Thankful about.
I used 20 gage wire and twisted a few inches around a pencil and then hot glued the Scallop & Stitched Circle die from MCT on each tag. The great thing about using the cardboard, was I could easily insert the wire into the side of the cardboard and it 'stuck' without any glue. I added what I was Thankful for. Of course, I'm thankful for many more things, but these were most important to me.
There are still a few more days to enter, click HERE for more info and to enter your project
That's it for today. Chao for now. --C
