Fruit Pizza

I have to share something that is OH SO YUMMY!
 It's a Fruit Pizza!

Doesn't this picture look pretty!

Now for the good part.....THE RECIPE!

FRUIT PIZZA

Crust:
1 Box yellow cake mix
3 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp vanilla or almond extract
2 Eggs
1 C chopped nuts (optional)

Mix all ingredients. Pour onto a greased and floured pizza pan or rectangle sheet pan.
Rub hands with butter and push  dough to the edges.  You will need to grease your hands more than once,  so don't be afraid to cut a slab of butter to run between your hands. :-)
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Sauce:
16 oz. cream cheese  (2-8oz blocks)
1/2 C sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla

Mix and spread on top of cooled crust.

Toppings:
Whatever fruit you like, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges, raspberries..etc.
No apples or bananas as they brown easily.

Glaze:
Optional
1/2 C Apricot preserves
2 Tbsp Hot water

Mix and drizzle over fruit.

You can eat immediately (I did, tee hee!)  Cover and refrigerate. Eat when you're ready.

Thanks

Well as I mentioned in my last post a few weeks ago....that it would probably be a few weeks before I post again....it's not that I haven't been crafting, because I have...been working on those Thanks A Latte card sets for the gals at work for their xmas gifts....I have to make appx. 100 cards. They love them, so it's an easy (takes some time) gift for everyone.

This Thank You card was inspired by another card on Pinterest. Click HERE for my inspiration website for my card.
I had this idea for a while, but when I saw Emma over at My Creative Time has a new challenge and this week it's Pinterest Inspired, I just knew I needed to get this card I had in mind done!!!

Here are the details for this challenge:
1. Use Pinterest for your inspiration by making ANYTHING crafty OR even if you see CUTE cupcakes/food items you want to try, I mean ANYTHING you see HERE that inspires YOU!
2. Please put the LINK of the website where you found your inspiration on your blogs! PLEASE do NOT post the original picture of your "Inspiration", ONLY the link to their website!
3. Please link your projects HERE below this post.
4. Deadline for this challenge is on Tuesday, September 4th @ midnight!
5. Last, but certainly not least......HAVE FUN!;)

Now, Link your Pinterest Inspired Project at MCT Click HERE

Ok, now onto my THANKS Pinterest Inspired card.

I used the Scalloped die from MCT and cut the letters from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.
I had to use a larger size card to fit all the letters because of the size of the die.
This card size is 4 x 8.5
To make this inspired card mine, I went with black lettering and put the letters down longways for a different look.  I added black card stock for dimension around the edges, and you can't see it real well in the pictures, I also scored around the edge of the white card stock.

Here are a few close ups:

This card was super easy, especially if you need to make a few of them and are short on time.  Hope you'll join in on the fun over at Emma's MCT challenge.

Chao for now!  --C

A Little More Caffine

Here's another card with the sentiment "with enough caffeine, I could rule the world."
For this card I used paper from a safari pack. And the ribbon is from the birthday stash Sue sent me. These colors blended well. And I added a big black button.

That's it for today! --C

With Enough Caffine....

Can you believe all the card making I've done...I can't either...then watch, I'll have nothing for a few weeks LOL...guess you have to take advantage of some low down time when you can.

These were some fun cards I made this past weekend...I just love this die set from Emma over at My Creative Time

I found the stamp sentiment the other day when I was on my ribbon rampage at Joann's LOL  by the way this is some more of the ribbon I found for FIFTY CENTS.

I think for most, caffine does wonders, so this sentiment was one that I just couldn't resist.
Here's a close up of the latte cup die.
I didn't use the 'sleeve' that goes along with the cup because I wanted all the cute polka dots to show, I even used some glitter glue on a few of the dots.   For the background in brown, I ran through the Cuttle Bug using the swirls folder.

That's it for today.  It's Hump Day and I hope you enjoy the 2nd half of your week.

Just Us Girls Challenge #148 Sketch

Here I am again, entering a card into another challenge.  This challenge seemed easy for me this week, probably because I was on a mission.  A gal at work asked if I'd make a wedding card for her.

The gals over at Just Us Girls have a sketch challenge this week and when I saw it, I just knew this was going to be the sketch for the wedding card.  I think it turned out great.

I found the really neat silver metallic ribbon at Joann's in their clearance bin...25 feet for $0.97 whoo hoo.  I thought to myself, I bet this stuff would run through the Cuddle Bug, and guess what, IT DID!
It's so shiny I had to set off to the side to take pictures otherwise my reflection was showing.

The Celebrate Congratulations ribbon is also from the clearance bin at Joann's...(went a little nuts on all the ribbon for 50 cents and 97 cents, couldn't pass it up! LOL

The flowers are cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and the leaves are cut from the Gypsy Wanderings file that comes with the Gypsy.

The silver heart is a brad and just punched it though the flower, then I used 3 small pearl 1/2 beads in each of them.  For the statement, I cut from Elegant Edges cartridge and stamped
 {enjoy the moment}
for the sentiment. I really thought this was fitting, because, normally, you're only suppose to get married once and you should enjoy the moment...in fact, I think you should enjoy EVERY moment in your life as the best of your ability.  You never know when things are going to change...that's my philosophy!

That's it for today.  Hope you're enjoying your week.   Chao! --C

Peachy Challenge 29: Color Inspiration

I don't know why, but when it comes to challenges I have the hardest time.  I don't know what it is about them that makes it that way for me.  maybe because I'm so use to doing what I want to do...LOL what does that say about my personality?! Ha!

I've been on kick again with the latte cup die from MCT maybe my subconscious is wishing for some cooler weather already....

This weeks Peachy Keen challenge is Color Inspiration

Again, I have the hardest time with challenges. This is the card I'm entering.

I used brown ink for the latte cup and the sentiment.   I embossed the background with Swirls.  Then used a white jelly roll pen and colored in a few swirls to make it look like steam coming from the latte cup.   The only green that I had to fit into this scenario was a button embellishment.

That's it for now...Have a great week!   Chao! --C
